Boring to Wearable

I bought these shoes last year after finding out that the shoes I was waiting on weren't coming. It was a sad sad story of shipping malfunction, so in order to lift my spirits I bought these wedges. They were quite cheap and looked ok-ish so why not, right. Anyways, all-in-all I think I wore them like once (for the shoe challenge) and then forgot all about them. But then earlier this week I was thinking about purchasing these cowboy-esque boots from Asos and then coloring their wooden heel black (I'm not much of a fan of the wooden heel - I like a wooden wedge but when it's just the lone heel = yuck!) and then I thought of these wedges and knew I had to do a DIY. I like them now a lot more. I've worn them already but only took a phone photo of the outfit. Might post it later. Anyways, I hope yall have a lovely Easter, xox, V

What I've been wearing lately..

The sunshine has been smiling down upon us and it's bliss (thou at night it does get pretty awfully cold:/) and today I stopped by the post office to pick up a package (a pair of Asos heels - to replace a pair of shoes in the challenge that I'm getting rid of) and I wore this comfy outfit: thrifted Dunnes dress, H&M mint tights, Bershka beige boots (bought in the sales a year ago), pink Zara sweater, Stradivarius bag, Pull&Bear shawl. My outfit was comfy enough but after returning home I changed into something more "me". (I'm now wearing a houndstooth mini skirt, black tights, studded converse-esque shoes, a skull tee and a jean jacket.)
Yesterday - when I went to uni - I wore a fun pair of polka dotted shoes. Sadly, I didn't get a whole outfit picture but it was cute (topshop red.white dress, floral tights, Asos blue leather jacket, red adidas bag) and after class we all went to the pub and got stuck there for like 5 hours! I love my uni mates!

204 Autumn oh No!

 What: Gate wedges
Where: whole day at uni (and a rainy day at that!)
Wearing: Mango tee, H&M leggings and socks, H&M leather skirt, Asos harness belt, (also had on a sweater and trench and my favorite Topshop bag. Plus new favorite umbrella.)
Now comfy and practical heeled shoes - a must for the autumn season surely. This might not be the most exciting shoe but it's still quite nice and at least it's not black (and thus ultimately more boring).
Anyways, remember that Asos harness belt I was all cuckoo about? Yeah, this is it! Finally I wore it. I love it so much but find it quite hard to mix it into regular day-outifts. Thus today was a good day. Now I must be off to get some school work done and have a pistacio nut snack while reading Silence of the Lambs (damn is it good as a book!)

Shoe Challenge #134: Paris casual

What: Gate quilted flats
Where: Paris :))
Wearing: Stradivarius cropped trousers, H&M sweater, Samsonite bag

These flats survived a lot of wear already and I had wanted to photograph them already a bunch of times but never got to it.. Alas they finally got their 15 minuts of fame in Paris, we (the boy & I) were on a 5 day holiday and oh gosh, it was amazing. But I'm still glad to be back home.. (My closet, my family, my piggie!, relaxing etc.) The food though I will miss intensely. And probably forever..

Shoe Challenge #124: Little Bows Everywhere

What: Gate sailor flats
Where: out &about (school, shopping, dinner with the boy..)
Wearing: Zara sweater, Mango shirt, H&M skirt, Gate tights
I have become obsessed with detailed tights, it started with Topshop and then Henry Holland and now I've found that even cheaper stores have a fair selection of cute tights such as these from Gate. Love the little bow print! Aspects of clothes like these reallly make a difference. And make everything a lot more fun.))

Shoe Challenge #114: Legend of the Headless Blogger

What: VW for Melissa/Gate jelly flats
Where: uni exam!
Wearing: Atmosphere skirt, H&M tee, Bershka polka dot sweater, Liquor Brand bag
Taking photos of yourself is hard enough and if you want interesting background? Kinda tricky. Thus the legend of the headless blogger began. Yeah.
Anyways, when I was getting dressed in the morning I really had no clue what to wear, I was heading to a uni exam so didn't have too much time to think my outfit thru and thru but I wanted to be comfy yet stylish at the same time. Insert jelly flats. Insert new skirt. Add a favorite and simple tee. Plus a suitable sweater for the coldish weather today. Shake well. Ta da!
The wind was blowing akwardly so the skirt looks way fuller than in reality. But at least you can see my head..

Shoe Chaleenge #98: Strawberries

What: Gate studded pointy toe flats
Where: jjust out and about, nothing special
Wearing: H&M skirt, Zara top
A warm day and a relaxed one. After meeting up with my prof. about failed essay (e.g. the lack of optimism in my last post) I was sorta in a funky mood. These shoes kinda helped - in a way that they remind me of strawberries:) My last Asos order arrived today and that means no more shoes for me. Damn, just when I realized that I have no jigh heeled polka dotted shoes! Well, guess will just have to fix that during our Paris trip. So excited. But kinda worried about the finances. Oh well, c'est la vie:)

Shoe Challenge #96: Deja-vu

 What: Melissa-esque Gate jelly flats
Where: day out with the Boy + shopping etc.
Wearing: Topshop cropped trousers, Pull & Bear belt, Zara sweater, H&M top, vintage bag, Swatch watch from the Boy
These shoes are the same style/type as in the last post but diff colour. Also they are a bit more see-through than the black ones and you can see my toe-nail polish shining thru, cute:)
Tram/bue stop. Was waiting on a bench for the Boy who popped by the shop to buy us some drinks
We had our 9-months anniversary today:)

Shoe Challenge #95: Sound of Noise!

 What: Melissa-esque Gate jelly flats
Where: Aero cinema, went to see "The Sound of Noise"
Wearing: H&M shirt, H&M leather skirt, Zara bag, H&M blue hair-pin ribbons, Mango cropped sweater
Seriously love these jelly shoes, perfectly comfy. Easy to walk in. Good for summer since they are "breathable". Unfortunately it rained that night and NO they're defo not good for rain:)
Above: the BOy buying tickets to see the movie. It was such a good film!!! Me posting before the cinema. Below: the Boy's brother's son. Such a cutie-pie!

Shoe Challenge #94: Splish Splash

 What: Gate jelly flip flops
Where: lunch
Wearing: "I Love My Boyfriend" Zara tee, Zara jersey skirt
These flippies are also new, curtesy of Gate. Plus I just love yellow, especially the bright intense kind! All-in-all I think this is one of my fave casual looks. Also I am so loving the Boy nowadays (so the tee was very appropriate). Seriously, things have been SO good. We are currently planning our summer holiday to Paris and yesterday the Boy booked our flight tickets and our hotel, such a sweetie. I sooo cannot wait!

Shoe Challenge #67: kitty-kat

What: Gate leopard print pointy toe flats
Where: uni and then work
Wearing: Zara DIYed dress, Stradivarius belt, Iron Fist bag, Zara cardigan, H&M scarf, H&M tights
Today was a nice warm day and it feels so much like the weekend it's confusing:) Speaking of confusing, I recounted my shoes in my collection and ended up with 148 pairs? Where did that come from?! And out of that I think about four pairs I'm not sure if I'll include in the challenge or not because they're either old and ruined or too boring, and one pair are the Bershka slouchy boots that I threw away but already included in the challenge. But still that adds up to 144 pairs and I thought it was "only" 139 pairs. Huh. Plus ehm I kinda ordered three more pairs of shoes, yeah. So that'll make it 147 pairs and so basically, I'm not over half yet. Wow. Am shocked! :D
