Lusting after and saaving shoes

Guys, my life is really super hectic right now. It's like there's always something I'm supposed to be doing and then there's work and school and house work and a social life. It's madness. So it's not too surprising that I haven't been getting any outfit photos taken. I actually had a super cute outfit on on Friday night but damn it, didn't get any photos taken because it just slipped my mind and then by the time I thought about it, I was already at home and then it was too dark and too awkward to take any photos. So today's post is more of a "lusting after"/stuff I think is cute and would maybe buy if I had the money post plus two half-assed shoe saves. It was either this or nothing at all.

I really love these soaps in tin cases by Mad Beauty, sold over at asos.com. I bought the "Purrfect" one and the one where one lady is whispering to another. The good news is that they're currently on sale (for 2 pounds each), the bad news is that only the "Purrfect" one is left. Otherwise I would have totally bought the kissing one as well. The soap smells really nice and the tin is just lovely. I'm thinking of using the tins to store jewelry or something. We'll see...

These tights are amazing really. Who wouldn't want glow-in-the-dark skulls on their tights? I would have totally bought loads of these but of course by the time I came across them only sizes S were left (and I'm too tall for tiny tights) and by now they're all sold out. But I'm still lusting after them nonetheless. These are also from Asos and I wish Asos had a "notify me if they come back to stock" option because look at those adorable skulls! I need them.

I think I may have mentioned this dress before, it's Asos's Pretty Jacqaurd Bardot prom dress and I think it would be perfect for Spring. It has a lovely shape and I really like the fabric as well. I'm thinking of getting it after payday.

Last on my lusting after list is this exclusive to Asos Anna Sui Mini Mouse make-up set. It is super cute, love the carved lipstick and all of the packaging. The only thing I'm not loving is the price tag. 48 pounds? I don't think so.

That's it for my miniature wish list. I mean, in all honesty, I'm definitely lusting after a bunch more but the products above were my favorites and I wouldn't want to bore you with the not so special stuff. Let's move on to the shoe saves, shall we?

Shoes saved: H&M leopard print lace-up flats
Worn on: Friday, 28.2.2014, to work
Wearing: you can't really see anything from my outfit, which is a shame as it was quite quirky (though I must say that the outfit I wore at night was omg the best, but I didn't even get a shoe shot). H&M thick knee high socks, Bershka black skinny jeans, vintage tan leather belt, Sisley tan sweater, Zara grey jacket

Shoes saved: Zara black tiny bow ballerina flats
Worn on: Monday, 3.3.2014, to uni and then to work
Wearing: Zara pencil skirt, H&M tights, H&M collared shirt, Pull&Bear black cardigan, Topshop quilted fake leather jacket, H&M studded bag

It's dull and grey outside today and I'm off to meet a friend about a pair of shoes and I think I'd just rather stay at home but I promised. I probably won't write a post tomorrow but I'll do one on Thursday, so see you then.

Fold Over Cuff Boots

I had a far from normal Monday night, got extremely drunk, leading to a very hungover Tuesday and today I'm just glad to be alive. And you know, thinking I might never drink again. Anyways, I didn't get an outfit photo in before leaving to meet up with friends for the drinks and only got a blurry shoe shot from when I was going home. And I'm so tired - especially of people's bullshit. Whatever, since this is a sort of shoe blog, let's talk shoes.

So these are the shoes I was wearing. And I am totally considering them saved in the challenge as I did wear them and have the blurry evidence to prove it, ha! I kinda love these shoes. They're Abacus Lace Up Fold Over Cuff Boots that are from Asos. They have a perfect low heel (8cm) for wearing all night and I love love love the fold over cuff! They remind of a Victorian shoe. I dunno, they just do.

Like I said, I only have this hideous blurry thing as the photo of my outfit. Yeah, a real fancy metro escalator shot. How classy. Whatever. I wore a LBD and my favorite black sweater and my lovely topshop leopard print coat. You know the one. It's a favorite so it's been on the blog before. I leave you with pictures of the coat as I need to get dressed and go to school.

Casual in Heels

Today I woke up with the beginnings of the flu and because I have an intense weekend planned, I decided it'd be best to heal this thing before it gets the chance to really take over. So I'm working from home and have decided to skip my uni classes. I will have to do some studying on Sunday but today I'm relaxing. That also means that today I won't be saving any new pairs of shoes in the challenge because I don't plan on changing out of my PJ's but luckily I still have a few pairs I saved earlier but haven't showed you yet.

Shoes saved: Timeless Nip Ankle Boot via Asos
Where/ when: Sunday lunch at our pizza place
Wearing: Camaieu coat, Zara varsity sweater, Mango tee, Zara jeans, Pull & Bear bag

What can I say about these shoes? Well, for one thing, I was glad I only wore them to the near-by pizzeria because these shoes have a super high heel and really aren't best for walking. I think the term is car to bar shoe? Not sure, but whatever, I saved these fair and square. Oh and I'll just add that (as you could probably tell from the photo) my favorite combination for leopard print is with red. On to the next save:

Shoes saved: Zara lace-up ankle boots
Where/ when: dinner Monday at Harfa
Wearing: lots of layers! H&M coat, Zara sweater, H&M black and grey tank tops, Mango jeans, Zara bag

I've had these shoes for a while (like 4-5 years?) and wear them time to time. They're okay, just not my favorites. My sis bought them for me (Hi sis!) and they are that type of shoe that look good either dressed up or down. I chose the down version here for dinner at a shopping center. Anyways, I have one more save for you but that'll wait until tomorrow as it's time for me to feed the pig and take him for a walk (which I REALLY don't want to as I am feeling quite awful.) Bye for now.

Shoe shoes shoes

As I mentioned in my last post, the boy & I finished the shoe room. It's a tiny room where one wall houses only shoes from top to bottom, start to finish, the other wall only half way (mid length), and in the back there's the closet that used to be in the hallway. I'll be posting about the room some more when I have better photos, but I wanted to show you at least something.

It was definitely hard to organize my shoes - I didn't really know how I wanted them but then I just went with it and here you can see the mid length wall with my favorite row (the Melissa shoes - mainly Vivienne Westwood for Melissa), in the row above are Melissa flats and below fun flats. In the photo above are fun heels and Iron Fist shoes. So basically, I organized the shoe room according to type and style of shoe. I tried to keep the fun shoes together, the black shoes together, ankle boots together, the Melissas, the Iron Fists, you get the idea. There's a row of black shoes with gold detailing that I also find very cute. More photos soon, I promise. For now (until I get home and to my camera) I'll leave you with two shoe saves.

Shoes saved: H&M leopard print converse-esque shoes with purple laces
Where: lunch & work today (Monday)
Wearing: it's gotten uber cold here! I'm layering like crazy: Mango jeans, vintage belt, Zara grandpa sweater, tezenis black undershirt, H&M red tee shirt, red pashmina, thrifted brown suede jacket, Zara city office bag

Shoes saved: New Look tartan print creepers (they really blistered my feet though so I'll never wear them bare foot again!)
Where: gift shopping for a friend's bday gift - Galerie Harfa; Friday before dinner (I can't believe it was so nice out and that's just a three day difference! Man, it's gotten cold!)
Wearing: Topshop cropped trousers, Zara tee, George sweater, Pull & Bear canvas tote (not pictured)

Today is Back to Reality

Tomorrow is the start of a new semester and I'm hoping some things will change this year - I hope to finish all my pending exams from last semester (ops) and FINALLY start working on my thesis paper. I have the best topic so there's really no excuse! I'm also aiming to keep the flat neat and organized - which should be quite simple when I now have a shoe room!!! Yes, it's true friends, the boy & I finished the shoe room yesterday and I spent the rest of the day and this morning organizing shoes (about twenty pairs couldn't fit though so I'm now wondering what to do about that - I have one spot left so it's a bit Sophie's choice but y'know, it's just shoes). Pictured below is me on Saturday, when the boy & I went to Hornbach to buy the shoe walls (but they weren't ready so we only bought screws that day and the boy picked up the shoe walls the next day). It was funny cause we had this huge cart and only had the little box of tiny screws on it. Typical us.

Shoes saved: H&M pointy toed flats in bright pink - though I may be getting rid of these shoes anyway :/
Where: shopping for screws, Saturday morning
Wearing: Mango favorite jeans, vintage belt, H&M tank top, George sweater, vintage bag

I look weird because the sun was shining into my face full on so yeah. But still, great photo. Moving on - here's my shoe save from Friday's lunch. I don't have a full outfit photo so let's just talk about the shoes. I bought them ages ages ago (like even before I had this blog - so a really long time ago) in a Zara sale - I think this might have been my first ever Zara purchase! They're classic pointed toe courts with a small heel. Quite comfy. But dunno, they seem a bit too "grown up" for me. They have this serious aura even with the fun leopard print. I think I still have to grow into them but I'm glad I saved these anyway:)

Shoes saved: Zara pointy toe courts in leopard print
Where: out to lunch, Friday
Wearing: H&M trousers

I have two more posts for you today but for one it'll be a while as I left my camera at home and hadn't downloaded the photos from there yet, so one of the posts will be up pretty late I recon. So I'll leave you for now with a cute photo of Mr. and Mrs. Frog. You're welcome.

215 fun and fearless

What: H&M shearling detailed lace-up ankle boots
Where: uni
Wearing: Topshop leopard print coat, Zara red sweater, Zara jeans, Topshop studded headband, no name brand white tee, also my favorite Topshop bag (not shown)

Because as always the images via my cam. aren't perfect and you can't really see the shoes, I popped by the H&M site and am thus using their product photo above. Yes, these are the shoes I'm wearing (btw, I first tried to find them on the Czech H&M website but no go and then I tried the UK site and wowsa, they have like 5x as many shoes on there, not to mention cheaper too. Drrr, living in Prague definitely has it's limitations!). They are super comfy and I highly recommend them. If you can't find them online I'd recommend giving a try in stores, I know I saw them in one H&M shop in Prague last week so they still have them, I reckon.

Since my camcam takes such uninteresting photos I tried to liven things up today and added some color via Photoshop (I hope to get better at photoshopping and adding fun little details. I don't alter me in the photos, just the backgrounds. Also I'm trying to hind the mess.. Ehm.) I realized that these aspects are the things that grab my attention on other blogs and I want to put more effort into mine, at least like this. Hope you enjoy, xoxo.

Shoe Challenge #85: Casual as Friday

 What: Atmosphere leopard print flats
Where: picking up my postage
Wearing: Zara shirt, Topshop pants, Topshop head band, gifted bag from my Mum, airplane broche that I made, Bershka snake skin belt
The totally most comfy casual yet still slightly dressy outfit for picking up two packages that came for me from Asos. It's hot hot hot today so comfy it is! Head band was added cause my hair looked kinda limp and nasty so ta da "hair style". Um yeah.

Bad Karaoke and leopardprint bracelets

Ben's last night in Prague and so my bestie Gabi and I went to his going away party thing which sadly turned to be the worst karaoke ever. Yes, really. But at least I did sing this time (I Will Survive). Had waaaay too little to drink (e.g. nothing at all actually). Anyways, we made those bracalets ourselves, using borrowed office supplies such as rubber bands and paper clips. The furry leopardprint things came from hand-cuffs I brought Gabi. Yeah.

You can't really see what we're wearing but I had on a topshop vest top, Zara blue jeans, new quilted beige balerina flats and my favorite Stradivarius studded bag. More outfit posts hopefully soon!

There's always a price to pay..

Had a lovely party night yesterday and so today I'm barely surviving. Basically the only activity I'm capable of all day is sleeping and hanging out with my bestfriend. (Cause that always helps a hangover..). And gossip..:D Anyways, last night was the perfect party night. Saw my dear H&M friends, went to 4 clubs and partied the night away. The only down point was A) my leopard print petite-coat was no way near warm enough for this fucking winter-esque weather, total pain in the ass. B) no hot guys. Srsly, they don't exist in Prague. Cause these clubs were full of guys.. just not the right ones. (There's no shortage of annoying bastards, nope. Really.) Uggh. So it was a purely girls-night-out but those tend to be just as fun.. :D

Pictures (from top to bottom): At Nebe, contemplating going elsewhere, still at Nebe but on the way out, at Limonadovy Joe - karaoke night, taxi from Harley's to U Buldoka, at home, what I wore:

leopard petite-coat, Stradivarius sweater (was my sister's but I confiscated it), Benetton shawl, Zara LBD, Zara studded belt, Pull&Bear purse, Zara boots, Topshop earrings, Next leather gloves.
