Sunglasses Refashion

I am a bit of a hoarder.. and sometimes I collect things that I don't get much use out of. For instance, I have quite a few pairs of sunglasses that I don't wear but am reluctant to give or throw away..

Solution?

DIY with stickers!

These are from Asos and in theory I love them, but in real life the frames are a bit too thick. Two little hearts help soften them up a bit...

These are from H&M and are super old but I don't like the thought that I'd throw them away only to go and buy a new pair of pink glasses. And everyone should have a pair of pink glasses.. one tiny heart on the side and they feel like new again!

I found this pair of glasses, I'm sure there's a story behind that but all I remember is that I found them, and they got hearts on both sides.

Last but not least: elbow patches for glasses - okay, maybe not but to me it looks like a pair of elbow patches no? Glasses from Asos, new, but thought they needed something..
 So cute!

Anyways, the moral of the story is: don't be afraid to experiment by adding a special unique touch to accessories. I'm usually not shy of a pair of scissors or gluw but using stickers is a safe way, cause you can always remove the sticker if you don't like how it looks. (Unless you use super glue..)

Everyday Veve

More of what I've been wearing lately -- above: comfy Asos sandals + my favorite green nail polish, below: Asos Lamp-post t-bar flat with cute heart print, polka dotted flats and Topshop gold quilted flats

Uni exams and life in the works

Lately I feel as if my time has been cut in half -- no not like in the sense that I'm dying or something, but rather that I have shitloads to do and so so so little time to do everything. It doesn't help getting sidetracked by tons of blog reading and looking at shoes... Speaking of shoes though..
Outfit I wore like a week ago to the pub: Ted Baker jelly sandals, Pull&Bear red leather pants, Zara tee, Zara sweater, H&M tank top, Stradivarius pink bag
Some other looks I've had on lately -- Zara beige pants and H&M tee for a casual day at work with Dorothy Perkins flats; H&M dress, Topshop tights, Zara belt and Zara leather jacket, Office Word Wedges (love them buckles!); Pull&Bear jersey skirt, crochet tights and H&M quilted flats in nude.

I'll show you a close up of the last pair:
I love how the nude matches my skin tone. Also I have to fess up -- I've been almost only wearing flat shoes lately. With hectic shedules and running about town carrying heavy books around, it's hard to have the patience for heels. I love me heels but sometimes comfort does win over fashion. So I treated myself to (well the boy treated me to) a pair of lower heeled open toed wedges in a nice solid green. Wedges are almost like flats! It's the little things in life that count;)

I'm back!!

Miss me? I know I've been MIA for way too long and this blog has been oh so neglected and everything but what can I say? Life is hectic! I'll have you know though that I have been wearing shoes and sometimes - though not too often - saving them via taking a photo. It's been a "flats" month, which errands and crazy schedules and exams and due dates and slacking off a little.
I won't enlarge every pair since some are def. not special enoughor I just can't be bothered to upload so many pictures. My net connection is slow. But some pairs def. do deserve a bit of a mention, like the ones pictured above -- Stradivarius sparkle flats -- I bought these sometime last year on sale and love how they sparkle. I'm wearing an Asos dress, Stradivarius cropped leather jacket, Asos collar necklace, Mango bag and Reserved tights -- I kinda love this outfit.

Bla bla bla

Last night I had a dream I wrote a blog post over on here and then I woke up all confused about if I had or had not. I haven't been here for too damn long really and I should get my shit together soon enough. I have a backlog of photos of my feet wearing shoes, which I'm sure you all long to see. Then there's a bunch of rambling I need to get off my chest about completely unrelated topics, like what books I'm reading and whether or not literature is dead and my career as a writer is indeed suicide. Ok, maybe I won't be so dark but who knows. I missed EBEW this month (even though I attended a nautical themed party a few days before and could have totally posted a photo from there.. I'm planning changes on here though, big ones! So don't give up on me just yet;)

Spring

We have a tradition for the first of May. It's a holiday over here and girls are supposed to get a kiss under a cherry tree for good luck and "not to dry out". Not that I believe in the curse or whatever but I like going out and enjoying the free day outside. This year the boy and I went to Divoka Sarka, which is a lovely park area with a lake in Prague. I wore my new Bershka mini skirt and an old H&M tee along with my trusty Pull&Bear bag, RayBan sunglasses, Asos watch and melissa sandals. Not completely sure what I did on the first last year but here's a picture from Spring time last year...
I reckon I look pretty much the same, no? For a completely non-related topic - I just finished reading Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell --a book I thrifted last week. I love thrifting books:)) Here's my review over at goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/322557109.
