What's up

I haven't been here much the last few days--but it wasn't for not wanting to, but rather for your own protection. I've been battling with a cold and a moody mood. Not a happy place to be at, trust. Today I've brightened my aura by applying many different colors of nail polish (because my first try at one colour went horribly wrong--but this is so much better right?). It's like modern art right on my finger tips. No, I'm not high right now. Or well I could possibly have a fever, who knows. Moving on.
A boring but typical school outfit I wore sometime last week? Or in the margins of the week before--whatever. Stradivarius cropped fake leather jacket, H&M sweater, F&F knitted dress; Asos shoes. Last time I wore these it was on the airplane headed for Dubai. In totles need of a vacation. Or just a life sponsor--someone to send me some flashcash for shoes. But obvi not happening, so instead I'm now watching an epic show Freaks&Geeks that I just download from my favorite uni friend. And I should be off to a party soon but am kinda over it, in whitegirlproblems speech.

Piggie Trip

 shoes saved: New Look brogues
wearing: Bershka leather jacket, Zara sweater, H&M white tank top, red Pashmina, Adidas bag, Zara jeans, Topshop gloves
Right before Easter we had a small piggie/vet trip with Dracul & our pig club. It was a rainy cold Saturday afternoon and Mr. Piggy-o had to get his hooves trimmed and his boar teeth clipped (kinda like getting your wings clipped). He was a good sport though and was very brave. He got loads of treats after so it wasn't all a bad day for him either. Oh and the boy helped loads!

Various Shoe Saves

 shoes saved: melissa flats
wearing: two pairs of tights (the crochet ones I have no clue where I got & the black ones are from H&M), H&M leather skirt, Zara belt, H&M red tee, Zara sweat shirt
 shoes saved: Pull&Bear checkered flats
wearing: Bershka university jacket, Pull&Bear bag, H&M skirt and tights, Tenzis sweater, Czech Elle magazine
shoes saved: trusty rain boots
wearing: H&M trench coat, Adidas bag, H&M tights, F&F dress
Some of the shoes & outfits I've worn lately -- since the weather is kinda crap it's not much fun but trench coats and varsity jackets are chic so that's a silver lining. Have just finished reading James Patterson's "Kiss the Girls" and I'm pleased to report that it was definitely better than his first Alex Cross novel "Along Came a Spider" but to be honest I got fed up with the racial bullshit the characters keep coming back to. I want to check oout the movie version though, cause Morgan Freeman plays the lead and it doesn't have bad ratings.

Shoe Saving

above - Asos Mary janes. Lovely style but SO UNCOMFORTABLE.
below - Viv Westwood Melissa flats. To be perfectly honest I could have used a size up in these but all-in-all they are ok. I love jelly flats.

Pastels?

Image 4554

So, you're thinking I probably changed my life around and now have a clean flat and have been saving up money and all that cal? Well, sadly no, instead I have been reading The Hunger Games and am shocked how good the book is!! And I just spent a fortune over on Asos so and still broke, still in minus or whatevers. This outfit is from last week (and please don't comment on the mess that is my flat - I know, I know.) The shoes were ebayed and then DIYed (I colored the heel black) and are unbelieveably uncomfortable (why? seriously, why?) but matched my skirt nicely enough to warranty a wear to the lab and back homes where I changed into smth more comfortable for school.

Time for a change

There comes a time when change is the only option. Whether that means changing aspects of who you are or what you do, change can be a good thing. Sometimes change can be hard. It can be difficult to get up off your ass and start doing something new. I have been too lazy for way too long. My flat has become one huge mess all over again and I'm also unhappy with my body. I've stopped going to the gym and have been spending too much money, going into minus on my account. Not to mention my absolute lack of getting my uni work done - things are piling up! So I'll be honest - I'll be blogging a bit less in order to get my act together. I'm hoping the outcome will be fewer posts with quality over quantity.
here's to change!

Boring to Wearable

I bought these shoes last year after finding out that the shoes I was waiting on weren't coming. It was a sad sad story of shipping malfunction, so in order to lift my spirits I bought these wedges. They were quite cheap and looked ok-ish so why not, right. Anyways, all-in-all I think I wore them like once (for the shoe challenge) and then forgot all about them. But then earlier this week I was thinking about purchasing these cowboy-esque boots from Asos and then coloring their wooden heel black (I'm not much of a fan of the wooden heel - I like a wooden wedge but when it's just the lone heel = yuck!) and then I thought of these wedges and knew I had to do a DIY. I like them now a lot more. I've worn them already but only took a phone photo of the outfit. Might post it later. Anyways, I hope yall have a lovely Easter, xox, V

Ravishing Book Review

I stumbled upon this girl's blog not long ago and must say - I'm in love. No one says it like she says it. True story. After reading through a few of her posts I knew I had to buy her book. I logged on over at Amazon and ordered the kindle version. Seriously, a good read. Babe Walker is the classic hero/antihero with fun stories covering, basically, her whole life. She's a character that I probably would have a serious love-hate relationship with but bet we could be Bfs. If she could get over the fact that a) I'm literally broke and b) I have a pet pig, which I'm sure she couldn't but whatever, just read the book.
Yours, V
