The Reddest of Them All

 A while ago I professed my love for red shoes but also admitted to not owning that many pairs of red heels. Sadly, I haven't bought any new pairs of shoes - red or other - although I am looking for some new shoes (I want to replace my favorite slouchy boots as they are literally falling apart and I would love to have a pair of red ankle boots) I haven't come across any that would be right for me. So while I haven't got any new shoes to show you, I have saved a few in the shoe challenge.

These heels are a very old pair of shoes. They were one of the first (if not the first) pair of peep toe heels I ever bought. I remember falling in love with the bow and with the color (it is such a vibrant red). I guess I haven't changed that much since I still love the bow and the color, but there are also other things I really like about these shoes. I like the heel, which you can see in the photo below. I like that these heels, though they have a 9 cm heel, are surprisingly very comfortable and I am able to spend the entire evening in them and not have my feet killing me! That's a definite plus!

 As much as the shoes above are "comfy", when I go to work or uni classes and I commute, I really only wear flats (unless I have a short day and I'm not carrying too many things with me). Which brings me to the next shoe save:

Monday was a very hectic day and I chose comfort over everything else. I don't really have much to show you - I didn't manage to take any good outfit pictures - but I did take a close-up of the print on my tee. Isn't it so cute?? It's two skunks with their tails forming a heart and underneath them it says "kiss & tail". I really like this shirt. Anyways, I'll be back tomorrow with last night's outfit so see you soon.

Warm and Cozy

Another day, another pair of shoes. Now I've worn quite a few pairs lately but have been crap at taking photos so I only have one pair to save in the challenge today. But first I want to show you a really cute pair of earrings I bought on a whim last Thursday. I popped by Gate to check in case they have any layering tees in store (and they did, bought a white tee and a black one) and saw these and decided it's been a while since I've bought earrings and well, I wanted to give myself a little treat.

Okay okay back to the shoes. These are shoes that have been worn many many times. The are good sturdy lace-up ankle boot brogues, which I love wearing with skinny jeans (as seen here and here). I think I've worn them a few times with either dresses or skirts but I reckon they don't look as good as they do with skinnies.

I've got loads to do today and am rather surprised that I managed to get a post in at all today. Hopefully, I'll get everything done and M & I will go to the movies tonight and I'll get to save some fun shoes. Fingers crossed! I'll leave you with a cute photo of Mr. Pig. Til next time, xo.

Would Wear Did Wear

 I'm coining a new blog category and it's the "Would Wear - Did Wear" term: one option being what I would wear if circumstances or what if allowed such outfit and the other, obviously, what I actually ended up wearing. This is totally the heart of most of my outfits, funny how long it took me to come up with it ey?

 A darling mix of boy inspired and chic femme fetale. I feel in love with these shorts the minute I saw them (it's one of the pieces that I bought over the weekend at H&M.)

 Being it (again) uber cold out and only heading to the lab (e.g. conservative look required!), I opted for a casual city outfit. Yeah, yeah, nothing too exciting, but still very moi.

It's so not fair checking out my favorite blogs and seeing the lovely ladies all sporting short skirts and sweaters insteadof layers and layers of keep-warm clothes. But hey, winter's not THAT bad yet so I should try to be more positive. At least there's no ice yet:)) And I love wearing these ear-muffs that I got from the boy for Valentines day.
