Ladies Who Lunch

Over the weekend I saved a very difficult pair of heels. Remember these killer heels? I had the perfect opportunity to save them as I had a lunch date, to which I was driven to and then home. But gosh, I have either really gotten unused to high heels or these shoes are really killer, because a) I could hardly walk in them to the restaurant and back to the parking space and b) my feet were killing me. But I guess I'm glad I saved them in the challenge? I mean, okay, so there really isn't a point in having shoes that are quite literally unwalkable BUT they are quite pretty and maybe once I get used to heels again... (the last time I wore really high heels was two weeks ago and those were wedges) and if the cobble stones disappear from the streets in Prague, they will be the perfect shoes haha.

Shoes saved: Gamloong lace-up ankle boots (dark green suede)
Wearing: Zara Woman coat, United colors of beneton scarf, H&M studded bag, I was also wearing my favorite sweater from Reserved and a miniskirt from H&M

As you can see in the post that I linked above, the last time (actually the only time) I wore these shoes was over a year ago. Well at least this time I didn't fall in them! That last picture I'm just really happy to be almost home.

Do You Remember?

These photos (and shoe save) were taken - obviously - before I got my hair color changed (last Tuesday). So in a way, this is a blast from the past. Well, one week from the past... Yup, I've got my camera back!

Shoes saved: Asos Croc Effect Mary Janes
Worn on: 2.12.2013
Wearing: Zara TRF tee, Pull & Bear miniskirt, Asos fishnet tights over H&M opaque tights

Okay, so the shoes (after all, this is a shoe challenge post): not the most comfortable - although they have a tiny concealed platform, they also have quite a high heel so your feet hurt after a while. This time they weren't so bad (but then again, I didn't have them on for a too long period of time) but the first time I wore them out - to the pub, half way across town - I was in terrible pain and by the end of the night was hobbling around like an idiot.

The upper is man made material made to look like crocodile skin and has a lovely purple color and I love the gold lining. And Mary Janes are a favorite type of shoe for me. Especially on a shoe like this - the proper/good girl vibe of the Mary Jane with the fun and wild print. Too bad they aren't more comfortable - they'd get a lot more wear otherwise. Well, at least they're saved. I mean, I might not love these shoes but I still like them enough to want to keep them...

Casual in Heels

Today I woke up with the beginnings of the flu and because I have an intense weekend planned, I decided it'd be best to heal this thing before it gets the chance to really take over. So I'm working from home and have decided to skip my uni classes. I will have to do some studying on Sunday but today I'm relaxing. That also means that today I won't be saving any new pairs of shoes in the challenge because I don't plan on changing out of my PJ's but luckily I still have a few pairs I saved earlier but haven't showed you yet.

Shoes saved: Timeless Nip Ankle Boot via Asos
Where/ when: Sunday lunch at our pizza place
Wearing: Camaieu coat, Zara varsity sweater, Mango tee, Zara jeans, Pull & Bear bag

What can I say about these shoes? Well, for one thing, I was glad I only wore them to the near-by pizzeria because these shoes have a super high heel and really aren't best for walking. I think the term is car to bar shoe? Not sure, but whatever, I saved these fair and square. Oh and I'll just add that (as you could probably tell from the photo) my favorite combination for leopard print is with red. On to the next save:

Shoes saved: Zara lace-up ankle boots
Where/ when: dinner Monday at Harfa
Wearing: lots of layers! H&M coat, Zara sweater, H&M black and grey tank tops, Mango jeans, Zara bag

I've had these shoes for a while (like 4-5 years?) and wear them time to time. They're okay, just not my favorites. My sis bought them for me (Hi sis!) and they are that type of shoe that look good either dressed up or down. I chose the down version here for dinner at a shopping center. Anyways, I have one more save for you but that'll wait until tomorrow as it's time for me to feed the pig and take him for a walk (which I REALLY don't want to as I am feeling quite awful.) Bye for now.

Thrifted

I've been trying to save money lately and so I haven't been buying anything, let alone shoes. But this past week I happened upon the following pairs for ridiculously low prices and being me, I couldn't resist.

These are a pair of peep toe heels with a darling bow on the front of the shoe. The brand is one I haven't heard of before, called "Baby Angel". The shoe has a really cute logo on the inside (not pictured, sorry) of a baby devil head in pink.

But really, they had me at the bow. On to the next pair: gorgeous strappy sandals by Gucci. They are very delicate and I wouldn't usually go for this type of shoe, but from the moment I put them on, there was no way I was not going to be taking them home. They feel like a "Cinderella" shoe.

Next is a "fun"pair (and actually the pair I bought first, sometime last week, while all the others were bought today). Again it's from a brand I didn't know, called "Roots". These shoes are the only ones that I bought that are not high heeled. They have a tiny tiny little heel, almost like a kitten heel but much smaller and more like a wedge. (I hate kitten heels btw.) I like the flower detail and the nice bright color.

Last is another pair of heeled sandals. These are Hugo Boss and are a beautiful baby pink color. They are quite high but still comfortable enough. However, what really captured me is the fastening of the ankle strap: I love that it goes twice around the ankle. All of the shoes except for the red pointed toe "flats" (with a heel that small, they are basically flats) cost 50 crowns each and the red flats cost 75 crowns. the Gucci and the Hugo Boss shoes are real leather whereas the two other pairs are not. I think all of these shoes will be nice additions to my shoe collection and I cannot wait to wear them (I'll be going to the pub tonight and have no clue which ones to choose!).
