Major Makeup Haul

As I mentioned in the last post, I did some serious shopping this weekend. I figured it's been a long time since I've treated myself to some makeup goodies and why not go all out once in a while. I visited my local Sephora and made a beeline to the Benefit corner. I love love LOVE Benefit cosmetics. From their quirky packaging to the fun names of the products, Benefit really speaks to me.

I started with this awesome casette - the Do the Bright Thing makeup kit. It consists of That Gal brightening face primer (this soft pink primer, I especially love the city skyline design on the little tube bottle), High Beam luminescent highlighter (I love this product, it's a pearly pink highlighter that really makes a difference), Dendelion ballerina pink face powder with an application brush, Bad Girl waterproof eye liner and finally They're Real mascara (which was voted one of the all-time best mascaras out there).

The next casette I got was the Feelin' Dandy lip & cheek kit. It's a smaller package but still so adorable and I think totally worth the cost. It has another little container of High Beam highlighter and Dandelion powder and brush as the other package had (but I figure I'll use both these products a lot so it's not bad to have two), then Posie Tint cheek tint (that you can use on the lips as well) and finally Dandelion ultra plush lip gloss.

The last Benefit casette I got was the Primping with the Stars "fake-its" kit that consists of some wonderful little items: Stay Don't Stray primer for concealers and eye shadows in light/medium (I'm really loving this product and think I'll get the full-sized bottle once I finish this little one), Some kind - a gorgeous foundation faker (I wish this had been in light instead of medium as it's a tad too dark for me so I can only use it for cheek definition), Bene Tint rose-tinted lip & cheek stain (so pretty!), Pore Fessional balm to minimize the appearance of pores (amazing product), Girl Meets Pearl liquid pearl for face and finally another little tube of the famous They're Real mascara.

Here's a close-up photo of the items in the casette. I think the items are a bit over priced but then again, if I'm going to splurge on the full sized bottles, I want to know if they really work so it's not bad to get these packages before. Luckily Sephora had a buy two get the third item free deal so I only paid for the two more expensive packages and got Feelin' Dandy for free.

I also stopped by Fann parfumerie and bought the internet-praised Lollipops Paris cheek & eye shadow powder. The packaging is sooooo beautiful!!! I was first thinking I'd get this for someone as a gift, but then I was like it's quite pricey and I'm not sure she'd like it so fuck it, I'm getting this for myself.

Isn't it gorgeous??? And it looks really good on as well. Anyways, I'm sorta broke now but since I won't be spending any more on myself I thought it was a good haul. Oh, I also bought the latest issue of Glamour magazine (the British edition). I'm off to get some work done now but I'll be back later to post about Saturday night. Well, actually, I think I'll post about that tomorrow. So everyone have a lovely and amazing day and until next time, mwah!

Post-uni Shopping Day

As I may have mentioned before, I had an exam yesterday. (Still don't know the results which is infuriating!) And because my uni days haven't been exactly going too smoothly, I decided to treat myself to some post-uni shopping. Hurray!

I stopped by a Zara store (a different - a furtheraway one - than I usually go to) and bought these two pairs of shoes. The first pair - a cutesy pair of flats with an embroidered mustache - was a tough decision whether to get them or not. They were the last pair - and in my size - and cost only 300 crowns. So I bought them because I was afraid if I hadn't I would regret it. On to the second pair: a lovely pair of wedges. I was thinking about getting them about two weeks ago but then thought they were still too expensive and that I would wait and risk it and of course, they disappeared from my Zara shop (my meaning the closest to my flat). I was sad and thought I'd never get them. But - ha! - they had them over at the Chodov shopping mall and waaaay cheaper too. Good thing I waited!

Right after my exam and before I went to Zara, I stopped by one of my favorite thrift shops and thought I'd just take a look. I was very lucky and scored not one but two very lovely dresses. I think in a way I was inspired by my new favorite vlog: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I am in love/awe of Jane. She always has such beautiful dresses with the little bows and everything. The two dresses I bought kinda reminded me of her. For the first dress (which is by Dunnes btw) it had to be the button detailing on the back of the dress. Really awesome right?

For the second dress it was the print.I first though it was mushrooms but its probably just circles. It doesn't matter because whatever it is, it's pretty darn cute.

Last but not least I stopped by over at Sephora and bought the Lady Gaga perfume Fame. I have wanted it for ages and now it was on a special Valentine's Day (oh wow, is it already February?!) sale. So I was pretty happy on my way home with all my lute but then I came home and what awaited me? Bloody pig-monster somehow got in the fridge (it has a safety belt on it) and ate everything and made a huge huge huge mess. So, yeah, that kinda sucked. Now I'm not speaking to Dracul and am seriously thinking about a possible solution. He's bored at home and needs more space and I think he will be an outdoor pig soon. But how to solve that??? I really don't know what to do. Something will have to change..

Files of New: Topshop

Yesterday I went out to dinner with the boy and while I was waiting for him, I stopped by Topshop and bought these lovely lovely wedges. They're called "Webster" which I find quite endearing. I was eying them up before but now that they were on double sale, I couldn't resist!
They detailing looks a bit silver in this image but it is actually in a shade of gold. I also bought a skirt and some make-up. I was debating another pair of shoes, but what am I, made of money? And I didn't want to lug too much with me to dinner. I'm thinking of returning to Topshop but not before another exam so all the gorgeous shoes will probably be gone, oh well, that's life. I'm just grateful that I got to snap these babes up. Until next time, xo, MsVeve

ASOS haul

Asos creepers, ordered yesterday
About a week or so ago and yesterday I purchased a couple of things over on Asos. I have been spending a little too much money lately but sometimes you need to go all out in order to really enjoy the shopping moment. Anyways, I wanted to share what I bought (although the items have not arrived yet). Above is a pair of Asos creepers. Those who know me, know I love me some creepers and I only have a few pairs (a tartan pair, a black suede pair and a black leather pair), so when I saw these were on sale, I thought "add to bag". It was the only rational thought that could have been, trust.
Asos quilted mini skirt with heart pockets, ordered last week
Something I'm really into at the moment is quilted materials. So when I saw this quilted mini skirt with heart pockets (=awesome), it quickly found its way into my shopping bag. I do wonder how it will look in real life, but I think it will get its fair share of wear during the colder months. Plus I could wear it on Valentine's Day... Will keep you posted.
Tortoise belt, Asos, ordered last week
How cute are those turtles, right?? and for only £4.50? I'd call that a bargain.
Asos wedge trainers, ordered last week
I had been ogling these wedges for ages. I was a bit torn between needing another pair of wedge trainers and well, not needing them. In the end I decided I obviously did need them after all and happily added them to the list.
Ssusan Caplan for Asos vintage snake ring, ordered yesterday
Last but not least is this two-headed snake ring. I sure hope it fits (the size wasn't mentioned), but the thing is, I used to have a two-snakes ring (the anniversary ring of my grandma) but I lost it like five years ago (it simply slipped off my finger, I still morn the loss to this day) and this ring sort of reminded me of it (though my original ring was much much MUCH nicer, it was silver and it was actually two snakes not a two-headed snake but whatever) so I'm going to give it a try. I cannot wait for the items to arrive (the first order should arrive any day now). To be honest, if I could have I would have bought like a million more things but I'm happy with what I have ordered so far and hopefully the items will match my expectations of them. Hope you all have a lovely weekend, till next time, xo, V
