What I've been wearing lately..

 The sunshine has been smiling down upon us and it's bliss (thou at night it does get pretty awfully cold:/) and today I stopped by the post office to pick up a package (a pair of Asos heels - to replace a pair of shoes in the challenge that I'm getting rid of) and I wore this comfy outfit: thrifted Dunnes dress, H&M mint tights, Bershka beige boots (bought in the sales a year ago), pink Zara sweater, Stradivarius bag, Pull&Bear shawl. My outfit was comfy enough but after returning home I changed into something more "me". (I'm now wearing a houndstooth mini skirt, black tights, studded converse-esque shoes, a skull tee and a jean jacket.)

Yesterday - when I went to uni - I wore a fun pair of polka dotted shoes. Sadly, I didn't get a whole outfit picture but it was cute (topshop red.white dress, floral tights, Asos blue leather jacket, red adidas bag) and after class we all went to the pub and got stuck there for like 5 hours! I love my uni mates!

247 Rocker Barbie (Would Wear)

 Because of the snow & cold these shoes were obvi worn only indoors. When I first saw these shoes, they immediately reminded me of Barbie doll shoes (due to the color). I also fell in love with the pale blue sole (who says only red soles matter?!). When styling these shoes I thought: what kind of a Barbie would I want to be? Well, the answer was: Rocker Barbie. As if just on que, I thrifted this light knit sweater today and I had this new leather mini at hand (one you haven't seen here before).

 I thrifted this sweater today after finshing my exam. I absolutely adore the cut and style of it. It's semi see-through and can be either dressed down or up. The mini is also one of my new favorites - bought in the post Christmas sales. Below you can see a close-up of the shoes.

218 Harness Bliss

 What: Bershka lace-up boots in beige

 Yesterday Mr. Piggy and I had time in the morning to go to the garden and he rooted around while I posed. He tried to steel the show from me, totally winning the camera's heart. Notice how big he looks, yes, he's a big fellow nowadays (thou not SO big, he weighs just over 20 kilos - I think.)

 I wish it was more autumn less winter out, well truth be told, I'm all for indian summer weather. But no luck here in Praga, no no. It's a cruel cruel world isn't it?

 Remember ages ago when I spoke of the asos harness belt, well it's definitely one of my favorite pieces, though not always the easiest to wear.. But I think it complimented this dress quite well. Or maybe I just love the belt so much I'm willing to over look its complete uselessness? Could be.

When going to uni I ended up wearing diff. shoes and pulling the thigh high socks down. It got me thinking I need new shoes (which probably isn't the case but so what, it's an addiction!) On completely unrelated matters, I finished reading "Silence of the Lambs" (and highly recommned it!) and "Coming Home" by Melanie Rose. I'm now wondering what to read next (the books I must read for Uni don't count, obviously..) Any ideas?

216 The Too Short Dress Into Skirt

Wearing: DIY skirt (used to be a dress from Bershka), Zara shirt, Pull&Bear belt, F&F crochet tights

So I've had this dress from ages but after a couple of washing it somehow shrunk (actually, it only had gotten shorter) and so pretty soon I was prevented from wearing it because it was more like a longer tee than a dress. I'm not much of a tunic and leggings gal so the only option for me was to DIY it. I cut the dress at the empior waist line and ta da, meet my new skirt! I love it.)) I'll definitely get loads more wear out of it this way and a DIY project always makes me smile.) Bonus: I got to save a pair of shoes hiphiphurray!

Shoe Challenge #184 and 185: Two Birds With One Stone

 What: H&M snake-skin print balerina flats + Bershka open toes

Where: Off to lunch with the boy's family

Wearing: Zara Woman skirt, Zara tee, H&M tights, Mango bag, Azone sunglasses

 So, these are my "saver" flats - the ones you put in your bag just in case your feet are killing you and you need to change shoes asap. The second pair I wore Sunday are by Bershka, and are a classic open toed shoe, nothing too overwhelming. Nothing insane.) You might be thinking, why have I saved two pairs of shoes at once, given that the second pair isn't even some crazy uncomfy unwearable shoes? Well, when we go to the boy's parents' flat, we take the traina nd the fastest way to get to the station involves a unwalkable steep little hill and bushes etc. So I had no choice but to wear flats for that part of the trip.

Shoe Challenge #167: The Boy's Bday

Where: 'Magicka Zahrada' restaurant plus tram there and back

Wearing: pull&bear tooth charm necklace, H&M top, Zara skirt, Topshop bag

Last night we celebrated the boy's 28th bday but going out and having a huge feast.) Though the restaurant isn't far from where we live, it's still best to take two stops by tram. And obviously, we like to go with the best, har har. As for the outfit well originally I wanted to take my H&M midi skirt but it just didn't go with the sandals and I was decided on the footwear from the start. So I took my trusty Zara skirt. As for the shoes well, these are one of the most comfy heels I own. They were from the Bershka collection about two years ago I think? I remember the first time I wore them I took them on this godawful first date. I had met the guy the night or weekend before in a club and he seemed ok. Anyways, the date was HORRID!:D He was shorter than me in my heels (and it bothered him), he wasn't as cute as I had remembered, but worst of all, he had no sense of humour (and I like to joke around), got none of my jokes and it was just a nightmare, one of those time you just can't wait for it to be over. Anyhow, this time around the date was perfection (well, the boy & I have been together now for a year this Sunday). The food was delicious and me & the boy share our sense of humour. Shoe Challenge #166: Unique

 What: Bershka leather strap wedges with cut-out detailing

Where: out & about

Wearing: H&M crop top with heart print, Dorothy Perkins tank top, Zara jeans, vintage belt

 I've had these shoes for a while and I remember lusting after them for ages before buying them, lucky me they were on sale by that time:) I thought the cut-out detail in the wedges was so special. And at that time there weren't that many truely unique shoes on high street. So these were definitely a dream pair for me. Sadly they aren't the easiest shoes to walk in. (And in the picture above I don't have my left foot in the shoe properly, they aren't big, it's just how the picture makes them look.)

 I bought this crop top yesterday and I absolutely love it. It has button detailing in the back which is really sweet too.

Shoe Challenge #145: Simple & Fun.

 What: Bershka wedges

Where: dinner with the boy & his parents

Wearing: Mango dress, Bershka sweater, Stradivarius bag, Topshop box

As most fashion-forward gals, I love me some strips and bows (and polka dot print, but that's a whole nother isssue..) and so this past Friday while having dinner wit the boy and his mum and dad, I sported this little jersey dress via Mango, the summer sale did me good, that's for sure. I wanted to have a simple outfit so I match the dress to a nifty little tote bag which has this wonderful design on it: it's like a letter from a girl to her mum saying she's having a lovely holiday but is her mum could send her some money. Yeah, this bag spoke to me alright!:) The rest was a piece of cake: sweater to go with bag, bow (which I got recently at the Topshop sale) that goes with bag and sweater, shoes that go with bag and dress. Simple & Fun.

Shoe Challenge #132: Huh

What: Bershka mid-high court heels in a midnight blue shade

Where: out & about

Wearing: Stradivarius cropped trousers, Bershka tee, Bershka cardigan, Zara scarf, plus also a new leather + studded cross body bag via Zara that I never seem to be able to get on any picture, drrrr

 I swear, these shoes look better in real life thanthey came out in these pictures. They're comfy and cute. And blue, which is a color I come to love every summer, God knows why.. Just to explain smth from the prior post: the DIY-ness of the last pair of shoes: well they were annoyingly too big and so I like almost never wore them and thus I decided to chop off a bit and ta da! Wearble. (Or at least more so than before..)

I know it's summer but it's been quite cold around here. Ugggh.

Shoe Challenge #68: Two-Tone

 What: Bershka open toe balerina flats

Where: out with Mr. Piggy

Wearing: my classic summer outfit: short shorts (Bershka), comfy tee (Kappa Alpha)

 This is how I spend my warm days: in comfy clothes and being thus perfectly happy. Now I love dresses! I prolly own more dresses than any other types of clothes, but for those warm days when you wanna be just relaxed and idle, shorts is what I do go. These shorts were an impulse buy the last time I was shopping at Arkady Pankrac and it was a day when I went to every store there but only in Bershka did I find anything worth buying. (That being these shorts and a pink/white strip tee.)

Shoe Challenge #48: Blue and cold

It was a warm day yesterday and that fooled me to believe this sweater would be enough to keep me warm in the evening as well. It wasn't thou and neither were these cropped jeans. I guess it really isn't summerish spring yet and layering should be a must for these days nights.. Otherwise this sweater is so much fun! I love how loooong it is and the Boy was saying that it looks suitable for the beach (not sure this was meant as a compliment harhar) but that was exactly the feeling I had when I was getting dressed!:) I always get beach obsessed when it gets warm. Envious of everyone who lives near one.. Gotta run now, happy weekend!

In your face fashion proudly presents this week's shopping finds:

1) totally OTT mini-mini-skirt that looks almost leather/PVC-ish. This is what I'll wear post uni-exams for the manditory party. Sick:)

2) the fringed sandals (in the perfect shade of brown to go with my "festival sack") - this was rather unexpected and thus all the better

3) the fake leather jacket - which I have been looking for since the end of winter. Finally.

4) pink studded fringed across-the-shoulder bag - I am in love with fringed accessories. S'hot.

5) vintage men's inspired shoes (now these are truely a treasure) that my Mum gave me. I'm a lucky girl. Yes, I know.

6) the perky hoodie - not the funnest item in the world but srsly, it's cold out there people.

7) peep-toe brown balerina flats - perfect for anything white (reminds me, must find sassy white long skirt/dress somewhere.. any ideas?)

8) big bold dark gold ring. Very badass.
